PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Objective: To provide a low cost solution to beat the severe heat, for the underprivileged population of India
Summers in India are becoming increasingly unbearable due to large scale deforestation, urbanization. People die of heat stroke and dehydration. Electricity is still unavailable in so many rural areas of India.
Ayush designed this Mini Air Cooler which doesn't require electricity. It is an affordable solution for rural areas to beat the severe heat from Climate Change and Global Warming. Ayush displayed divergent thinking when he designed this low cost solution for underprivileged sections of our society. Using simple, locally accessible materials, like plastic bottles, a fan, a battery and water, he designed a simple device with which people can keep cool in the summer heat. Ayush hopes that this can be taken up in a bigger way so that people who have no access to commercial air coolers, air conditioners, can also brave the heat and get some relief from the heat.
