PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Students in my Entrepreneurship and Problem Solving Senior Seminar were challenged to partner with Southland Energy to identify the energy infrastructure that could save the school more than it cost to install. They researched many complicated facets of energy use and building operations including a trip behind the walls to see how well insulated campus buildings were. They developed multi-faceted plans that they pitched back to the engineers from Southland. They then condensed the varied ideas from each group into a highlights presentation to the entire school to raise awareness of the need for energy conservation.

Collaboration!

This project has already completed. We partnered with Southland Energy to engage the students in a real-world, urgent problem solving exercise. http://southlandindenergy.com/
